Old WineAmerica website built in 2012

As the National Association for American Wineries, WineAmerica required a simply-designed, updated website to replace a cumbersome, custom-coded site that was visibly falling apart.

After we cleared out unused and unnecessary data and functions, WineAmerica required that the site be General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant by warning users about cookies collected and privacy rights. They also needed the site to be ADA Compliant. We made the site accessible to disabled users by using best practices relating to design and by offering a toolbox for users to customize the page views, including voiceovers.

WineAmerica

When WineAmerica realized that our site needed a total makeover we contacted Mari. She had some great ideas on how to implement the redesign, starting with migrating the site from an old, overpriced hosting account to a modernized, cost-effective web host.

She then restructured the content, edited old web copy into fresh text, and revamped our whole blog. We especially like how she converted content from old pdfs into modern accordion displays. She made our membership list searchable and filterable for users, and easier for me to update. There are so many aspects of the new WineAmerica site that we just love. And Mari was a pleasure to work with the whole time. Thank you, Mari!
