Thanks to the EU We Updated our Privacy Policy

Hey, faithful reader!

I’ll bet you’ve been receiving tons of emails from companies notifying you of updates to privacy policies, thanks to impending EU data protection laws.

You can read here about the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) enacted by the European Union in January of 2016 with a deadline of Friday, May 25, 2018.

We too have updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in order to:

Give you more clear and detailed information about your collective rights and responsibilities with respect to your privacy and personal information.
Make it easier for you to control the information you provide us. You’ll see that our policy explains your choices about this.
Provide more detail about the measures we have in place to keep your personal information secure.

Please have a look at the full text of our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. Feel free to use these pages as a template for your own policy pages on your websites.

The updated Privacy Policy automatically comes into effect for all Blogsite Studio users on 23 May 2018. That means your continued use of The Studio and Blogsite Studio sites from that date will be subject to it.

So, that’s it with the legalese. Let’s get back to making the Web a safer, more beautiful place to dwell.

In February 2016 Derby Reach/Brae Island Parks Association (DRBIP) wanted a new web site, one which was handsome, but simple (no glitz!) and easy to navigate. Once the initial design was established the real work began. Without Mari’s assistance, expertise and incredible patience, the site would never have gotten off the ground. By June, drbipa.org was online. It was a pleasure to work with Mari throughout the whole process and beyond. We have achieved what we set out to do and DRBIP would be extremely happy to work with her again.

When we realized that our site needed a total makeover we contacted Mari. She had some great ideas on how to implement that, starting with migrating the site from an old, overpriced hosting account to a modernized, cost-effective web host. She then restructured the content, edited old web copy into fresh text, and revamped our whole blog. We especially like how she converted content from old pdfs into modern accordion displays. She made our membership list searchable and filterable for users, and easier for me to update. There are so many aspects of the new site that we just love. And Mari was a pleasure to work with the whole time. Thank you Mari!
